Program
Day 1: Departure from Amsterdam or another international airport
Your adventure begins with a flight to Tanzania. We will search for the best flight connections that
suit your wishes and preferences.
Day 2: Arrival in Dar es Salaam
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania, you will be welcomed by our driver who
will take you to a beautiful beach location. Here you can relax and recover from the long flight. For
those who want to explore more, there is the option to take a city tour with a deaf guide, where you
will learn more about the history and culture of this vibrant city. Alternatively, you can simply
choose to enjoy a lovely time on the beach.

Day 3: Safari in Mikumi National Park or visit to Morogoro
Today you will depart for Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania’s national parks, where you will
search for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and lions. If you leave early, you could go on
a safari in the afternoon. Alternatively, you can stop in Morogoro along the way and visit a school for
the deaf, where you will learn more about the lives of deaf people in Tanzania. The choice is yours,
and we are happy to tailor the program to your preferences.

Day 4: Hike to the Udzungwa Waterfalls
Today you will embark on an adventurous hike through the Udzungwa Mountains, a beautiful
mountainous area covered with tropical rainforest. The hike leads to a breathtaking waterfall where
you can enjoy the natural beauty of Tanzania. For those who wish, there is an opportunity to swim at
the waterfall. This hike offers both adventure and relaxation. After an active day, you will spend the
night in a lodge at the foot of the mountains.

Day 5: Local Experience and Travel to Iringa
Morning:
You will depart for a walk with a local guide through the area around the camp. This offers a unique
opportunity to experience the daily life of the local people. The guide will share stories about
traditions, customs, and the surroundings, providing you with a better understanding of the culture
and the people.
Lunch:
After the exploration tour, you will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local flavors and dishes.
Afternoon:
After lunch, it’s time to drive to Iringa. The journey offers stunning views of the Tanzanian
countryside. Upon arrival in Iringa, you will check in at the Neema Crafts Guesthouse. This special
hotel not only offers comfortable accommodation but also provides employment for people with
disabilities.

Day 6: Visit to Neema Crafts and Travel to Ruaha National Park
Morning:
Today you will visit the Neema Crafts Project. Here you will have the opportunity to see how people
with disabilities develop their talents and find work. You can attend interactive workshops and
purchase unique handmade souvenirs to support the project.
Lunch:
After the visit to Neema Crafts, you will enjoy a tasty lunch at the guesthouse, where local
ingredients are plentiful.
Afternoon:
After lunch, you will drive to Ruaha National Park, the largest national park in Tanzania. Your
accommodation will be simple cabins in the heart of nature, where you will be welcomed by the
surrounding wilderness. A private chef will be ready to treat you to delicious meals.

Day 7: Safari in Ruaha National Park
All Day:
This day is entirely dedicated to a safari in the impressive Ruaha National Park. You will embark on
an exciting game drive, with a high chance of spotting large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, and
other wildlife. The guides will share interesting information about the flora and fauna, making your
safari even more engaging.
You will have the opportunity to stop for lunch in the park and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. At
the end of the day, you will return to the cabins, far from the bustle of the city, with the sounds of
nature in the background.

Day 8: Flight to Zanzibar and Reception by the Deaf Community
Morning:
After one last breakfast in nature, you will depart by small plane to the tropical island of Zanzibar.

Day 9: Exploration of Stone Town and Lunch with a Deaf Family
Today, you will discover the charm of Stone Town with a local deaf guide. During the walk, you will
visit historical sights and learn more about the rich culture and history of Zanzibar. For lunch, you
will be welcomed by a deaf family who will serve you a traditional meal. In the afternoon, you will
take a boat trip to a nearby island, where you will have the opportunity to see giant tortoises up
close.

Day 10: Relaxation on the Beach or Extra Time in Stone Town
You can choose to explore more of Stone Town or relax on one of Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches. We
offer various options for a beach extension of two days or more, so you can conclude your journey in
complete tranquility. Depending on your preferences, we will find the best location and activities to
make these last days unforgettable.
